My client is a leading construction business with an impressive number of high value projects.
Reporting into the Commercial Manager, Procurement, your role responsibilities will be as follows:
- Procure materials in accordance with project specifications and drawings.
- Coordinate plant/machinery hire or purchase based on project requirements.
- Monitor and report supplier performance issues to senior management.
- Oversee logistical aspects of company delivery vehicles and ensure effective execution of collection and deliveries
- Ensure effective execution of collections and deliveries.
- Manage and train new buyers coming into the team
- Assist the estimating department during the tendering process for new contracts.
We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience in a Procurement role within the construction industry. MCIPS is highly desired but not required.
