Interim Commercial Finance Analyst JD - IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE POSITION

6 months - £240- £270 PER DAY (UMBRELLA)

RETAIL COMPANY

Purpose of the role:

  • To strengthen and support the commercial finance team's reporting and value adding insight capabilities to help the business meet its commercial objectives. To become the source of commercial reporting within the team

Key responsibilities

  • Periodic close
    • Run the financial period close for Sales to Gross Contribution
    • Ensure accurate accounting of the commercial P&L lines
  • Periodic Reporting / Management Accounts
    • Develop and build a best in class, insightful Periodic reporting pack for Sales to Gross Contribution and produce on a timely and accurate basis
  • Weekly Reporting:
    • Create the weekly trading deck (Pulse) for Finance
    • Develop insightful Sales to Gross Contribution reporting pack, e.g. by cohort, by category
    • Produce reports on a timely and accurate basis
  • Other
    • Support the team by analysing and reviewing differing data sources and harnessing the data into insights which enable better decision making
    • Collate data from multiple sources as needed and support production of periodic Commercial Review reports
    • Challenge current ways of working and drive efficiencies across the business and finance team
    • Review and continually improve reporting processes leveraging functionality of existing systems & tools
    • Support the wider Finance team through year end and audit review of the commercial accounts

Key requirements:

  • Part Qualified
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • TM1 , data manipulation
  • Oracle Fusion or similar experience
  • Experience in process improvements and automation
  • Outcome focused: ability to prioritise key activities
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
