I am currently working exclusively with a leading early stage fintech based in London looking to hire a B2B Chief Marketing Officer to build a best in class marketing function from the ground up.

They are building a truly innovative white labelled bank-in-a-box offering to Financial Services banks and asset managers worldwide.

The role of Chief Marketing Officer is at one of immense opportunity that will allow the role holder to build the most creative and special of marketing functions around, within the exciting world of decentralised finance.

Duties

  • Understand our platform and technology, and develop the ability to articulate the value proposition to technical and non technical key decision makers for our target customers.
  • Build a growing and successful Sales playbook and Marketing plan, in conjunction with senior members in your team
  • Work closely with our senior Sales individuals already within the business.
  • Develop innovative and exciting ways to develop partnerships in order to drive significant revenue and top-line sales.
  • Provide competitor and market insights and analysis to our product team to strengthen the value proposition of our product to retailers.
  • Negotiate pricing and margins to maximize our growth & analyze ROI to demonstrate the viability & sustainability of our product.
  • Play a significant part in growing and managing our inbound lead channel, improving our conversion rate to tangible meetings and eventual sales.
  • Work with our Product teams to create engaging, vibrant collateral and content to support their outbound activities.
  • Help us to gain media coverage by creating content around our launches, case studies and expansions.
  • Research and develop suitable business partnerships that will help fuel our growth.
  • Liaise closely with senior stakeholders within our business to develop and execute our online strategy, whilst maximising budgets through creative process. It's important you'll show significant ROI in terms of execution.
  • Create, manage and monitor our Sales and Marketing budget.

The Person

As well as the experience outlined above, you will also have the following:

  • Notable ability of creating a vision that will showcase the business as a trailblazer in the technology space.
  • Demonstrable success in building revenue through all stages of the Sales and Marketing funnels.
  • A visible, intuitive understanding of how to engage our target customers through to acquisition and beyond.
  • Experience within a fast-growth B2B technology/SaaS business, and you'll be demonstrably capable of managing and driving our marketing function to increase sales.
  • Entrepreneurial, passionate, energetic, visionary and creative.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing marketing events, plans, PR and the marketing calendar.
  • A proven track record of growing revenue in a tech start up, ideally SaaS, fintech or payments.
  • Ideally, and this is a strong advantage, acted as Founder or Senior Exec in an early stage startup.
  • Extensive experience in contract negotiations and structuring deals for global rollout, ideally with retailers. If not retailers, you'll have experience in working with larger corporates.
  • A highly numerate,and analytical approach. You'll be customer focussed, positive, influential and engaging.
