Cedar are supporting a Public Sector organisation who are looking to hire a Category Specialist for their Digital & ICT categories. This is a permanent role with a salary range of £50,000 up to £60,000 plus Car Allowance (£5,400) and additional benefits. This role will be 100% home based so we are open to candidates who are based anywhere in the UK that fit the criteria the client is looking for!
The Category Specialist will be required to oversee, quality assure and deliver complex procurement advice and processes (legal process, scoping, briefing, tendering, selection, evaluation, contract negotiation and management of suppliers) across the Digital and ICT category.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- experience working in a Procurement team in the Public Sector environment with knowledge of contract and supplier management processes
- strong category experience across Digital and ICT
- experience creating and executing category strategies with the ability to lead negotiations and deliver cost savings
- CIPS or PRINCE2 qualifications would be advantageous
