Cedar are supporting a Public Sector organisation who are looking to recruit a Category Manager for their ICT & Digital category. This is a permanent role with a salary range of £30,000 up to £40,000 per annum on offer plus additional benefits. This role will be home based permanently but will require 1 day per month on-site at the clients offices in the North West when required.
The Category Manager/s will report into the Principal Category Manager and support the delivery of a portfolio of projects within the ICT & Digital category. As you develop in the role you will take a lead on projects assigned and become a subject matter expert in Public Sector Procurement and in the ICT & Digital category. You will work to help ensure projects are delivered on time and to the organisations expectations and ensure value for money is consistently achieved along with contractual compliance with Public Sector Procurement regulations.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- CIPS qualified or working towards would be advantageous (the organisation will support/fund you with obtaining/furthering CIPS where required)
- Experience in a similar position in the UK Public Sector is required (i.e. a role in Procurement, Commercial, Category or Contract Management)
- Background/understanding working within ICT & Digital would be advantageous
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
