Cedar are supporting a Public Sector organisation who are looking to recruit 3 x Category Managers for their Estates and Facilities category. These roles are newly created positions within the organisation and are permanent opportunities offering a salary up to £40,000 per annum on offer plus benefits. These roles are permanently home based so are open to anyone in the UK applying who have a background in either the Public Sector and/or in Estates & Facilities.
The Category Manager/s will report into the Principal Category Manager and support the delivery of a portfolio of projects within the Estates and Facilities category. As you develop in the role you will take a lead on projects assigned and become a subject matter expert in Public Sector Procurement and in the Estates and Facilities category. You will work to and help ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the organisations expectations and ensure value for money is consistently achieved along with contractual compliance.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- CIPS qualified or working towards (the organisation will support you with obtaining/furthering CIPS where required)
- Experience in a similar position in the UK Public Sector would be advantageous (i.e. a role in Procurement, Commercial, Category or Contract Management)
- Background/understanding working within Estates, Facilities (FM) or Construction would be advantageous
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
