Cedar are currently supporting a Public Sector client who are on the look for a Category Manager for their Construction & Infrastructure category. This role is a permanent position that will be home based with the expectation to be on site in either the London or Manchester office 1-2 days max. per month. The salary on offer with this role is ranged from £40,000 up to £50,000 and also includes a Car Allowance and additional benefits.
The successful applicant will support the Construction & Infrastructure team and will be responsible for the implementation and contract management of delegated Framework Agreements ranging (including but not limited to) Construction Consultancy, Construction Works, Modular Buildings and Car Park Management & Infrastructure. You'll support on both strategic and operational level and developing specific contract management and implementation programmes/strategies and will lead the delivery of a number of projects within key markets.
Please note we are open to applications from both the Private and Public Sector - we are focused on finding someone who has a strong background/understanding on areas such as Construction, Estates, Infrastructure etc. therefore we will consider applications that have had some exposure to procurement but have more of a strong understanding of the category specific area.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- experience working in a Procurement, Commercial or Category Management position in the Private or Public Sector covering the Construction and/or Infrastructure category
- CIPS qualified and/or a Construction related qualification i.e. RICS or CIOB would be advantageous
- confident communicator and professional approach is key
