Cedar is working with a prestigious University based in London to find a Category Manager for Communications and Marketing to join their Procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Marketing Procurement Professional to join a world leading organisation and have a significant impact on both the internal procurement landscape and the organisation's external image and interaction with the market. Reporting straight into the Head of Category Management for Corporate Services, the postholder will be the SME for marketing procurement and will have strong commercial input into the organisation's marketing strategy.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a marketing and communications procurement role within another leading organisation and have strong commercial acumen and understand the risks and opportunities associated with Marketing spend. The postholder will need strong stakeholder management skills and be able to build out a robust category strategy to create value and improve performance.
Requirements for the Procurement Category Manager - Communications and Marketing
- Ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards
- Experience in a similar role i.e. Procurement, Category, Contract, Commercial or Supplier Management from either the Private or Public Sector within the UK
- Experience and ability to demonstrate knowledge within the assigned category area - Communications and Marketng
