My client is a leading equipment manufacturer with a global workforce of over 10,000 people. They are currently searching for a Buyer to join their expanding team, with a focus on the following key responsibilities:
- Category Management: You will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies across the company's business units in the UK and its global sites.
- Cost Management: Your role will involve meeting annual net cost performance targets, ensuring efficient spending in procurement activities.
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): You'll be conducting business reviews with key suppliers to drive improvement activities and strengthen the relationships.
Ideally, candidates for this position should have experience in one of the following category areas:
- Fasteners: In this role, you'll concentrate on contract management, ensuring that the fastener service provider fulfills its obligations and adds value as a master vendor. The primary objectives will be to ensure a continuous supply and drive improvement projects focusing on rationalization, simplification, and efficiency.
- Electrical: This role will primarily focus on electrification and batteries. You will be involved in adopting new technologies and working closely with the Engineering department to ensure the selection of the right suppliers to meet the company's needs.
