Business Analyst - Finance Transformation (ERP Cloud)
6 Month Contract - up to £600 DOE
Hybrid London 2/3 days in office
As a Business Analyst, you will actively engage with business and finance stakeholders to shape the requirements, understand, and document data flows, and help facilitate workshops for the mobilizing Finance Transformation Program.
In addition, you will play a critical role in the successful implementation of their ERP Cloud solution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Project Management, to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and contribute to the design and configuration of the ERP system. Your expertise in finance and technology will be vital in ensuring the seamless integration of our financial operations and achieving our transformation goals.
- Definition of future finance requirements with stakeholders, including key considerations, pain points, and leveraging external good practice
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and prioritising requirements
- Define use cases and overlay use cases onto the proposed solution architecture.
- Lead data flow analysis
- Definition and development of a data model to support reporting and MI requirements.
- Strong knowledge of functional Finance process areas including P2P, R2R, O2C, Reporting & BI and Planning
- Participate in workshops and meetings to gather requirements, define business rules, and provide expert guidance on best practices for leveraging the ERP system.
- Work closely with the IT team to translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
- Support the configuration and testing of the ERP system, ensuring it meets the needs of the finance function and aligns with the defined business processes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and execute user acceptance testing plans, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system.
- Provide end-user training and support during the deployment phase, addressing any questions or concerns related to the ERP system's functionality.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within finance transformation initiatives and ERP system implementations.
- Experience of defining requirements for Tier one Cloud applications (Workday, D365, Oracle or SAP) in large complex projects
- In-depth knowledge of finance processes, including financial planning and analysis, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, preferably experience with cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting gap analysis, and translating requirements into functional specifications.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
