Permanent Opportunity for a BI Developer

Location. London/Hybrid (2 days in the office)

Salary. Up to £60k + benefits + bonus

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled BI Developer to join our team. As a BI Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting our business intelligence solutions. You will work closely with our data analysts, stakeholders, and business users to deliver accurate and timely information to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have expertise in T-SQL, Azure, and Azure Data Factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and support business intelligence solutions using T-SQL, Azure, and Azure Data Factory
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and business users to identify and understand their data requirements
  • Design and develop data models, data integration processes, and ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse
  • Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and views to support data analysis and reporting
  • Perform data quality checks and implement data cleansing processes
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI or other reporting tools
  • Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to business intelligence and data analytics

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field/experience
  • 3+ years of experience in BI development using T-SQL, Azure, and Azure Data Factory
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes
  • Expertise in T-SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
  • Experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Analysis Services
  • Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Microsoft certifications in Azure and/or SQL Server is a plus
