Assistant Financial Controller, Transportation Group, Brent Cross, up to £70k + Bonus + £6k Travel Benefits
My client is leading transportation group who are looking for a technically astute Assistant Financial Controller to join their dynamic finance function.
This role was created due to the growth of the organisation, they currently have a revenue of c£400million and looking to grow even further over the next 18months with a variety of acquisitions in line alongside organic growth.
Reporting directly into the Financial Controller you will play an integral role in the finance function responsible for month end close, revenue recognition, the preparation of financial statements, liaising with auditors as well as preparing the statutory accounts. Alongside this there is an opportunity to develop and improve the controls environment, ensuring streamlined and automated controls and accounting processes.
You will have the opportunity to manage the Accounts Payable function alongside 3 Assistant Accountants, providing leadership and support.
Alongside your month end duties, you will have great visibility and exposure, working hand in hand with Operations Manager's, the Financial Controller, CFO and External stakeholders. Additionally, you will support the Finance Manager's within each group entity, providing them with advice, support and assist with tax calculations.

Essential Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 2+ years post qualified experience
- Strong technical accounting acumen
- Liaised and dealt with auditors previously
- Proven process improvement experience
- Attention to detail
- Bright, tenacious and inquisitive
