Cedar are recruiting a German Speaking Accountant for a 15 month FTC for an international technology business. The international head office is based in Zurich and our client require someone to live in Switzerland or Germany to be considered for this role. The role will be fully remote but there will be an occasional need for you to travel into the office, travel expenses will be covered. This position is offering a base salary between €111,000 - €116,000 dependent on experience with a 10% annual bonus.

Key role responsibilities:

  • Preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Review of supporting schedules / financial reporting packages and liaison with subsidiary Finance teams to resolve any queries and finalise reporting packages
  • Key point of contact for liaison with external audit team to ensure issues are resolved on a timely basis and year end reporting deadlines are achieved
  • Ownership of completion of subsidiary statutory accounts prepared in accordance with IFRS
  • Audit preparation, compliance and completion

Key candidate requirements:

  • ERP Experience
  • Fluent spoken and written German language is a requirement for this role
  • Significant Group consolidation experience
  • Strong financial reporting/statutory reporting experience
  • Advanced Excel
  • International/global business experience would be advantageous
  • Strong systems experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast paced working environment
  • Comfortable prioritising and hitting tight deadlines
  • Self-starter attitude, driven to add value
  • Strong experience of IFRS is essential
