An international technology business are looking to recruit an accountant for a 15-month FTC to cover a member of the team going on maternity leave. The international head office is based in Zurich and our client require someone to live in Switzerland or Germany to be considered for this role. The role will be fully remote but there will be an occasional need for you to travel into the office, travel expenses will be covered. This position offers a base salary between €111,000 and €116,000, depending on experience with a 10% annual bonus.
Key role responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial reports and statements
- Review of supporting schedules / financial reporting packages and liaison with subsidiary Finance teams to resolve any queries and finalise reporting packages
- The key point of contact for liaison with external audit team to ensure issues are resolved on a timely basis and year-end reporting deadlines are achieved
- Ownership of completion of subsidiary statutory accounts prepared in accordance with IFRS
- Audit preparation, compliance and completion
Key candidate requirements:
- ERP Experience
- Spoken and written the German language is a requirement for this role
- Significant Group consolidation experience
- Strong financial reporting/statutory reporting experience
- Strong IFRS experience
- Advanced Excel
- International/global business experience would be advantageous
- Strong systems experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced working environment
- Comfortable prioritising and hitting tight deadlines
- Self-starter attitude, driven to add value
- Experience of IFRS is essential
