Back to Disciplines

For over 19 years, Cedar's Accountancy & Finance practice has identified roles for all levels of finance professional, throughout the UK and abroad.

We meet all our candidates, to understand their personalities, criteria, and skillsets, enabling us to match them to the right opportunities.

Our Accountancy & Finance team is split into four specialist areas:

Senior Qualified Finance

For senior finance professionals, it’s no longer enough to focus on operational and technical excellence. Strategic guidance and key commercial insights such as business analytics and management information are now par for the course, too.

As the accountability of the CFO/ Finance Director and the senior finance community has increased, finance teams are facing ever-changing and increasing demands. This means an effective, cohesive, and sustainable team – one able to meet today's requirements while remaining flexible enough to meet those of tomorrow – is more important than ever.

Cedar's Senior Qualified Finance Practice, with its long-established reputation for excellence and trust, focuses on supplying senior finance professionals with a track record of leading finance functions.

Qualified Finance

Whether it’s identifying opportunities for growth, creating new roles to deal with the latest technology, or the need to comply with ever-changing regulations, the finance and accountancy sector continues to face major upheaval.

That’s why the demand for high-quality, Top-4-trained accountants – particularly those with a confident technical understanding of IFRS – shows no sign of slowing down.

While this is great news for accountants, organisations that are struggling to fill roles has led to a genuine fight for the best candidates. A few extra perks can often help a company win the battle, which is where the knowledge and experience of our Qualified Finance Practice can really help.

We focus on supplying newly and recently qualified finance professionals with up to three years of post-qualified experience and with salaries from £50,000 to £70,000.

Part-qualified & Transactional Finance

Recently we have seen heightened demand across all sectors for part-qualified accountants for duties such as invoicing, data entry and basic month-end processes or, in some cases, for more senior roles such as Finance Manager or Controller.

Typically, candidates will be working towards a professional accounting qualification and, once qualified, will progress to another opportunity. It’s therefore very important that employers actively plan for succession.

Cedar's Part-Qualified & Transactional Finance Practice focuses on supplying part-qualified (or those qualified by experience) and transactional accountants with salaries from £25,000 to £35,000 plus study-support remuneration.
