Responsible for IT portfolio sourced globally. Working on a cross functional basis with the IT and Finance Organisation. Engaging with IT Directors and the business to obtain wider understanding of indirect procurement opportunities and creating a negotiation strategy for large and complex contracts Negotiating large volumes of contracts at a swift pace to bring them up to the organisation's contract standards where required The position has a direct impact on corporate measurements and results such as COP, NWC and productivity savings targets and management of the portfolio and its prioritisation is required to report on progress to senior stakeholders. Cost, quality & service, innovation, speed to market, fast roll-out and are the most important business needs with different focus and prioritisation in the managed portfolio. Responsible for the development and maintenance of a supplier base that can generate competitive advantage. The role includes activities in order to design a proper supplier base across the world as well as to keep a relationship with major suppliers that will guarantee access to innovation. As this is a new position due to centralisation of indirect procurement, there is a lot of scope for the successful candidate to define the exact responsibilities and have the freedom to shape the role in accordance with their ideas more specifically. Develops and drives implementation of regional and global sourcing strategies for IT & Technology spend categories. Works closely with IT organisations in understanding needs, objectives and priorities to optimise total cost, quality and service. Collaborates with key stakeholders and works cross-functionally in developing and executing sound sourcing strategies in partnership with IT stakeholders. Understands indirect material spends across the business, analyses category markets and translates into actionable strategies and forward-looking analyses. Identifies, selects and develops suppliers, negotiates and contracts within IT portfolio and supply based in alignment with IT Global strategy. Establishes strategic relationships with supply base and implements supplier management strategies. Motivates suppliers to treat the company as preferred customer in presenting innovation and/or cost/efficiency projects Becomes a key member of central procurement team that will drive sustained performance and improve procurement effectiveness. Accountable to continuously improve supplier performance including service and quality. Presenting regular updates at required governance meetings and highlighting gaps or support issues that need addressing Being able to summarize critical issues to Director level for their understanding and support for strategies that need due consideration. Prepares budget assumptions for IT portfolio in line with Global Strategies and Global assumptions. Monitors and identifies risks and opportunities involved in each sourcing process. Drive the organisation to mitigate identified risks. Push the organisation to move towards opportunities adopting creative solutions. Designs verifies and amends contracts in conjunction with Legal Dept. Special attention is dedicated to protect intellectual property, minimise liabilities, exclusivity period of innovation, ensure availability and cost improvement. Mentoring other more junior members of the teams Develops own pipeline of savings opportunities
