Group Reporting Manager Permanent

Cedar is partnering with a global Private Equity backed business seeking an experienced, commercial astute Group Reporting Manager for the team. The incoming candidate will be a detail-oriented expert in IFRS and UK GAAP and central to leading technical accounting research, analysis, and documentation for complex international transactions, ensuring compliance with international standards.

You will collaborate closely with accounting professionals and stakeholders worldwide, validate transaction details, and prepare authoritative accounting position papers for senior, audit, and regulatory review.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical research and analysis on complex international transactions, cross-border financing, consolidations, and financial instruments.
• Interpret and apply IFRS and UK GAAP across diverse jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and alignment with best practices.
• Prepare well-structured technical accounting memos and position papers for executive and audit-level stakeholders.
• Partner with global teams, business leaders, auditors, and regulators to facilitate reviews and approvals.
• Review international legal agreements and contracts to assess accounting treatment.
• Monitor, assess, and implement new IFRS and UK GAAP standards.
• Support quarterly and annual reporting processes with specialist technical expertise.
• Provide training, mentorship, and thought leadership to global colleagues.
• Contribute to accounting policy development, M&A activity, and cross-functional projects.
• Assist with statutory reporting and respond to technical queries from international subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA strongly preferred).
• Strong technical accounting experience, ideally within practice or a corporate role, with significant IFRS and UK GAAP exposure.
• Proven expertise in researching, analysing, and documenting complex accounting issues.
• Ability to interpret and summarise cross-border legal agreements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing technical documentation for senior audiences.
