INVESTMENT DIRECTOR (Edinburgh) Cedar Private Equity are working with our client a listed private equity firm with £3bn of assets under management internationally. Th PE House are currently raising a new fund for investment in to businesses in the Edinburgh region. This role will be to aid the fund raising and then lead the subsequent investments. This role would be to lead the movement of the PE-Houses investments into the Edinburgh and wider Scotland region. Key Responsibilities ·Hands-on involvement in transaction execution process ·Board seats and post investment role, initiating changes where appropriate ·Strategic decisions about the firm and main points of contact externally for the business for the region ·Oversee the operations of the Fund and review deliverables of any delegated functions·Key role in fund raising and meeting potential investors ·Origination and preliminary discussions with identified targets before closing of the Fund ·Decision-making responsibility through formal reporting to an Investment Committee Experience, Skills & Requirements ·Investment Director or similar at a Private Equity Fund with ambition to take on a challenging Partner role to advance their career ·A minimum 10 years private equity experience needed, promoted from within or recruited from another private equity firm ·Previous experience in investment banking, transaction services or equivalent experience ·A broad investor network with a focus to Edinburgh and Scotland, and strong interpersonal skills ·Entrepreneurial mind and ability to apply your skills creatively to diverse client needs, with robust technical ability and excellent attention to detail ·Sound judgment, particularly in valuation matters, with strong analytic skills and the ability to talk through previous deals comprehensively Salary £150k-£200k dependent on experience - Package is negotiable. Interim Financial Controller (Part-Time)

Cedar Private Equity are recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller with potential to grow into a permanent FD position as a Venture Capital backed e-commerce business in central London. Job description The business is a tech-enabled subscription e-commerce business shipping over 250,000 products a month to its customers all over the UK. The company has tripled in size for the last 3 years with strong growth continuing into 2018. The business is comfortably capable of turning a profit (although there is more investment in further growth) Our client is looking for their first internal finance hire at an exciting stage in their growth story. This role will require someone to work flexible hours for 20 hours per week initially, although the company will expect this to be your only role. The company is expected to grow considerable and with it so will this role. Position - Interim FC (Permanent FD role further down the line) Location - Old Street, London Daily Rate - £300 to £350/Day (Ltd Company) (Negotiable dependent on experience) Start Date - Negotiable (February / March 2019) Length - Open ended (The role can grow with the business) Role / Key Responsibilities ·Responsibility for the accounting function including ensuring best practices are in place and the function runs smoothly and efficiently ·Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow (weekly) and revenue analysis, with commentary and trend analysis ·Preparation of the monthly payroll and associated reporting (pensions etc), expense claim review and P11D's ·Ownership of bank reconciliations, credit control and accounts payable ·Preparation of budgets, forecasts and variance analysis ·Working with the Auditors on the yearend audit ·Assessment of costs (variable and fixed) with a view to improving cash flow and / or profitability ·Assistance with financial metrics, and KPIs for monthly board reports.
