        Overview Liverpool FC (LFC) is one of the most successful clubs in the history of world football and was acquired by the Fenway Sports Group in 2010. With a new ownership team in place, LFC implemented a robust growth strategy in the commercial development of the club on both domestic and international levels. The brief LFC retained Cedar to assist with the recruitment of a number of critical senior hires across Strategy, Central Finance and the Club’s charity, The Liverpool FC Foundation. Recommended approach The high profile nature of LFC, the importance of these hires and the speed at which they needed to be recruited meant that Cedar had to quickly align with the business to recommend a bespoke approach that would generate the best possible pool of high calibre candidates. Using a retained approach Cedar was able to take the iconic LFC brand to the market and reach out to candidates which proved critical to the success of the campaign. Combining brand power together with Cedar’s strong presence in the senior market greatly increased the candidate generation potential of the project.
